Walchandnagar Industries Ltd (WIL), an ISO 9001 company, is one of the leading Heavy Engineering Industries in India. Started as a small factory in 1908, the company has diversified into other spheres of manufacturing; being vigilant and alert to the changing times, today it has built up an enviable reputation for quality and reliability. WIL has three manufacturing units, two in Maharashtra viz. at Walchandnagar in Pune Dist., at Satara Road in Satara Dist. and one at Dharwad, in the Karnataka State. Walchand Infotech (WIT) is an IT division of Walchandnagar Industries Limited. WIL has diversified in other business segments as well. IT is one of the segments, where WIL visualizes its growth in the coming years. The IT division came into existence in 1981. Till the year 2000, this division, functioned under the name of Corporate Computer Center. In 2001, this center has emerged as a full-fledged IT division and now has been renamed as Walchand Infotech (WIT). WIT has been in the business of providing turnkey customised software solutions to a wide range of businesses with success stories, state-of-the-art infrastructure, IT human capital, quality processes, it has embarked on a mission to globalize WIT's business. WIT's solution and service offerings include application development, business re-engineering, Data migration, database administration and software consultancy.
